Hi there, I'm Sarah, the voice behind this blog.

I'm madly in love with my husband, Mahlon, know to his friends as "Herm". Herm is an artist, a craftsman by trade, and the one who encouraged me to start writing more. We have three young children, Carson, Brooklyn and Jack. I never knew how much I could love until I met this trio; they've caused my life to slow down in the best way possible, while simultaneously adding so much busyness to my every day.

Our story takes place in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of New York.  We make our home in a small fixer-upper house on a big fixer-upper hill.  The view from our deck is breath-taking, with the sparkling waters of Keuka Lake below and the tree covered hills all around.  Together we are slowly transforming our house into a home one DIY project at a time. 

Herm and I both share a love for running, and any adventure in the great outdoors. The kids and our two dogs, Skipper and Selena, always tag along. 

I am a homebody who longs to travel, an avid reader and want-to-be-writer, and fitness enthusiast. I crave simplicity in almost every area of life.  

I have always been a "go-getter" by nature, I love to make tracks and get things done.  But since becoming a mom, I am realizing the true value in taking time to enjoy the little things in life, for all too soon these precious children of mine will be grown.  This blog will be a place to record those little moments, so that they are never forgotten.
